FOG, the domestic translation for “Within the Fog”; it has been six years since its public beta, and its popularity has only increased year by year. It was now ranked top 3 among the world’s most popular games.
FOG is a four-on-four confrontation game. In each game, the player and his teammates would be placed on one end of a map covered in dense fog. At the other end of the map would be their four opponents. Players have different abilities and tasks depending on their jobs. The ultimate goal is to clear away the fog on the other side of the map, leaving your opponents nowhere to hide. Then the team that kills all their opponents and destroys their opponents' resurrection stone first wins.
Each team of players consists of three jobs two strikers, one sniper, and one medic.

POSITIONS
突击手 Striker
Strikers make up half of the four member team. Their main role is to charge to the front and attack the enemy, and they’re the ones who move around the map the most. This position consumes a lot of the team’s economy (heavy equipment + shields) because they face the enemy head-on.
Weapons they use include guns, knives, daggers, etc. The more economy spent = the better the weapons. They also have an unlimited amount of dishes which is used to clear poisonous fog (read more here).
For comparison, they’re similar to fighters/bruisers/possibly even tanks (not to be confused with milk tanks). Aggressive play is necessary, they start the fight and get the most kills.
Types of plays usually vary depending on their team’s playing style and strategy:
Team Free’s fighting style is very aggressive. Shi Luo and Chen Huo’s head-on type of fighting makes them very intimidating and deal a lot of damage. However, they have the highest risk of being killed or spotted by the enemy team’s sniper.Team Saint’s fighting style, however, is more of a lying-low type. Since they rely on their medic, angel sword, they don’t go head-on into the battlefield and only attack when angel sword is close by.

狙击手 Sniper
There should be one sniper per team. Snipers and marksmen are pretty much the same, they deal with reconnaissance (tracking the enemy team’s movement along the map and reporting it to the rest of the team) and attack from a long-range. Snipers in fog have bullets although powerful but are limited in quantity. A direct shot can destroy a player’s photon shield or even kill a player directly.
Aside from being skilled in observation and aim, they also have to be extremely careful. They’re unlike strikers, who have the mobility and the right equipment to escape tight situations. Once they shoot, their location is immediately revealed to the enemies.
How do they observe their enemies?
Snipers usually come with scopes, they’re what make snipers, snipers. They allow snipers to get a closer and more accurate look at the enemy fog and allows them to have a more precise and accurate aim than the strikers.
Types of play for snipers are usually the same. There’s a slight difference though:
Most snipers don’t attempt to shoot at the beginning of the game unless it is required so by their strategy or if it’s absolutely necessary. Why are photon shields really fucking valuable when faced with snipers?
Photon shields are like your extra hp: (i am so sorry apex was all i can compare this to)
See that purple thing? That’s probably the equivalent of photon shields. Compare my health (first image) to the second player's health.
They give you extra hp and added protection against enemy attacks. A sniper, if they're able to shoot you with a clear shot, can make that entire bar of extra purple hp disappear. If you don’t have that extra hp, you’re good as dead. That’s what makes snipers pretty dangerous.

Medics are milkers and make up the remaining member of the team. ‘Milkers’ meaning providing milk, or in our case providing a boost in health. If the health bar is white in the game (refer to images before) then maybe that would make sense too. These are the players with the most burden since they need to hold the whole team together.
They’re really valuable considering how they keep you alive for the entire game. They’re more of the healers/support type of players who keep their teammates from getting killed in order to:
Not have the enemy gain kills, therefore gaining economy.To not lose anymore economy because they’ll have to buy materials again.With the exception of Yu Sui, medics are pretty chill players. Though that doesn’t mean life is easy for them, because they’re usually the ones targeted first.
Why are the milkers targeted first?
The enemy not having medics for at least even ten seconds gives you a great advantage. You’re able to kill off the strikers and sniper easily because there’s no one to heal them.
Medic plays vary, again, on team strategy or the style of the player:
Teams like Free have Yu Sui, who’s an assassin medic. Assassin medics and vanilla medics differ depending on the player, not the team style. Assassin medics are medics who also fight, but very stealthily. They have the mobility and the courage to step up with just a dagger. They not only heal, but they also take kills. In short, think of a ⅔ medic, ⅓ striker/assassin.Vanilla medics are medics who focus primarily on healing and not getting their teammates killed. See: angel sword.
They have one task: Keep everyone alive and fighting to the best of their ability. A medic is called the lifeline of a team for a reason.

RULES
FOG is a 4V4 game.
The Situation:
In each game, you and your teammates are placed in one end of the map filled with fog.At the other end of the map are your four opponents.In one team of four players, there's two strikers, one sniper, and one medic (Refer to this).The map (see below) is divided equally between the two sides. Initially, the enemy's side is covered with poisonous fog. When a player comes in contact with the poisonous fog, the player will die. Thus, fog must be dispersed using a dish.The striker's unlimited prop [dishes] are the main tools used to disperse the fog. Put the dish before the fog and after three seconds, fog within the 2.5 meter area of the dish will be dispersed.At both ends of the map are the resurrection stones of the two teams. The dead player will be resurrected in the resurrection stone and will have the scars left by the last injuries.The team is allocated to 10,000 economy in total. 4000 for public economy, 2000 for each striker. 1000 for the sniper and 1000 for the medic. At the beginning of the game, both sides only have basic equipment, as they get more kills they can upgrade their weapons.Medics can use a concealed weapon (dagger) to kill enemies.Medics can't use the public economy unless they've gotten auxiliary points or killed enemy players.In the game, if the economy is wasted and the resources are all used, you can only use first-class weapons that don't consume economy.Players have different goals and skills depending on their position. However, the ultimate goal is to clear the fog in the enemy map.The first team who kills all the enemies and destroys their resurrection stone wins.
